Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
