It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a squad that has won it all.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display remains open for discussion.

Some will argue the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in the nets, it's been a frustrating experience because it seemed my form was missing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts kick in and you simply focus on the competition."

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was removed her side required another 66 at one run per ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this World Cup need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this championship is likely to be her last as captain in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as leader.
